The iTero scanner digitally captures the structure of the teeth with a radiation-free laser, and in as little as two to three minutes, the laser produces a digitally perfect, 3D impression of your teeth and soft tissue structures.
This digital impression is used to obtain diagnostic information about the teeth, gum tissues and bite relationship. The iTero scanner offers a time-lapse technology which compares scans to show any changes which occur in the mouth, such as shifting of the teeth, wear and breakdown, recession or changes in the gum tissue.
The iTero digital scanner works with Invisalign to show patients the simulated outcome of their Invisalign orthodontic treatment.
This type of scan can create accurate physical dental models for restorative work, including crowns, bridges, veneers, and implants.
